Hi
My w202 needs new suspension! Strange how all my cars seem to need suspension close to xmas!! GRR!! Anyway, Money is obviously tight so im looking around. Ive seen some PI shortened dampers for £177 and some Lesjofors springs (40mm drop) for £94. £271 isnt that much more than I paid for my Punto kit last year so im thinking this is ok and maybe cheaper than OEM stuff?
My problem is the 40mm drop! I know from experience with my old UR-Quattro that German cars dont like their legs being messed with! I dont want a harsh ride or any scraping as where I live we have loads of speed bumps and potholes.
Someone on here MUST have dropped their w202 and Id love to hear their experience? I had to use spacers on the rear wheels of my punto just for a 30mm drop so Im wondering how the Benz will do with a 40mm drop?
Basically, am I better with the stock gear or can I drop it 40mm without messing the ride up too much or having to do any stupid things with the geometry?
Cheers guys!
Chris
