M271 Timing chain

Hi All just recently changed timing chain, gears, guide and tentioner. I know it's been covered by others but if anyone would like any advice on any DIY aspect please feel free to get in touch. I spent a lot of time talking to suppliers, local Indy & searching You tube prior to deciding how to approach this task.

Touch wood I don't have a problem yet but thankyou for the offer, this is just the sort of experience the forum needs.

I second the above,
I don't drive an MB petrol and the timing chain issues have deterred me. But if it isn't such a scary repair it might well beat diesels with their ever growing complications one day.
