M273 engine knock

Last year I noticed a slight knock at idle from my engine (2011 SL500 R230) I thought perhaps an emissions valve or something daft like that, it only appears from time to time but today it became more noticeable. It only occurs when engine hot and at idle, at 1000 rpm it disappears. I gave it a Google and discovered a TSB LI03.10-P-052286 which describes my knock perfectly, my engine number also falls within the affected range.
I plan to borrow a borescope to have a wee look see. If the liners are scored the engine is kaput. She's only done 48k so I'm peeing my pants at the moment. I cant imagine MB will be interested in assisting. Anyone come across this issue?....Anyone want to buy a lovely SL?

Update if anyone interested......Aye....engine was a gonner, gutted at the time, Mercedes offerd a short engine for £19k.... but found late 2011 write off with 27kmiles.( put the boroscope doon the tubes before buying)Cost me a small fortune but took opportunity to fit headers/sport cats and exhaust .....oil change every 6k as that's my annual mileage.

Bloody obvious when you open your eyes up and read properly ! Plus 2011 , no M113 engines being fitted by then . I will just shut up now

Oh , and the M113 has absolutely no oil pressure check system ....I knew that
