Hello all
I hope you are all keeping well!
A few weeks ago the engine management light came on. I took the car (B180 CDI) to an indie to get the diagnostic checked. The fault code was 0105-2 with a note that some kind of pressure needs to be tested and some voltage is low (am trying to translate from german, the car is in Berlin), and a part code B5/1
The code was than reset and the light on the dashboard went out. A few days later the light came on again and a day later it went off again. Now after about 2 weeks the light came on again.
I did some googeling and came to the conclusion that I need to change the MAF sensor. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
From what I gathered, it's not a difficult job to change the sensor??
Will the light go off once I change the sensor, or do I need to have it reset by the indie?
And another issue I have is, that sometimes when the engine is cold, it doesn't change up the gears. It's stuck in 1st, until I stop, change into N or R, and carry on.
Could that issue also be related to the MAF issue, or is that more sinister, as in gearbox ..... ?
Any advise, hints and tips are very welcome (-:
