Does anyone know how to get the rear headrests to lie flat in a w124 saloon if the engine is inoperable?
Manual release of W124 headrests?

If you suck on the vacumm line feeding them they will drop down.

look right under the shelf from the boot. You will see a round black thingy that has a vac pipe attached to it..
