I have recently purchased a merc 609D motorcaravan E reg (old one)
If i am right the engine fitted to these was normally aspirated, on investigation today I have found the engine code OM364A and also what I belive is a turbo fitted, well its a big lump on the exhaust just below the manifold that says Garrett on it!
Is this the correct engine or has it been swapped at some time?
If it is swapped what would the engine be out of?
Also how do I tell if the turbo is working as I haven't driven it but a mate has and he didn't think it was working?
And is there a manual available for this engine?
