...Would I be cheeky to suggest this is now the closest "spiritual successor " from Mercedes to the original W168 [ without that expensive and very safe sandwich floor] -- high body- easy access- versatile capacity economical to run? Before anyone sneers its a Renault van the W168 was no great shakes in the quality department either.and I bet this one rides better.
The "windowed" Renault Kangoo has been a surprising success in the non commercial market-- maybe there's a little "upmarket aspirational " niche waiting out there to be tapped?

Shows a version with some side windows, the interior unfortunatley (in my view) is too Renault-eqsue.
