What a place.Spent yesterday and today there for birthday presents for my grandchildren one is 15 and did the under 17 A Class and off road drive abs loved it,for the due to be 18 he did the AMG drive [he has not come down to earth yet] loved it.For a surprise to me [birthday due] i was booked today for a AMG GT-R pass ride omg abs fab and to crown it all my daughter won a Silver Arrows display passenger ride.
The place is well worth a trip for a visit.

It's a decent 2-3 hours out, much of which is free, if you've got no specific events arranged.

There's a decent cafe on the ground floor and somewhere to get a meal on the top floor, plenty to look at and a few retail opportunities.

All the drives and rides need to be booked in advance and you could easily spend all day there if you had something planned.

I'd add to what Red C220 said and say all the drives and rides need to be booked well in advance.

Combine Mercedes Benz World with the Transport museum on the old Brooklands track, and you've got a great day out for any motoring enthusiast.

I love MB World, I've been a few times and they do change bits and pieces. Also love the fact that it's free to get in and look around. Even took the other half who said it was good. We had some food up in the bistro place and watch people spinning out not he skid pan.

As aid with the motor museum behind it, it's a petrol heads paradise really! :)

Here's a tip I got from one of their guys...

Apparently they always book an extra driving instructor, in case one of the instructors reports sick. So in fact on most days they will have a spare instructor and unbooked slots.

So if you call them up at 9:30 in the morning, they will know if all their instructors reported to work, and if so then they will have a few spare slots for you to book for the day.

You will need of course to call early enough before the spare slots go, and also allow for driving time from your location to Brooklands.

Something many visitors miss seeing is a banked section of the old Brooklands track. Instead of going in through the main entrance, turn one hundred and eighty degrees and walk across to the fence on the other side of the car park. It's an impressive sight and to imagine the old Bentleys doing a hundred plus on it is inspirational. It is rather high and steep, more than you probably imagine if you haven't seen it.

I spent an hour there on Saturday in the SL63, what a car, awesome power if your not used to fast cars. Drifting looks a lot easier when someone else is doing it even on the skid pan, spent a lot of time doing 180's. I thought the track was a bit disappointing though it's very narrow, I had expected something more like a race track. That said, it's an incredible place and well worth a visit, the Brooklands museum is very interesting and enjoyable also, as Stratman said you wouldn't believe how high the banked section of the track is !
