Mercedes me dongle

Has anyone else tried the Mercedes me dongle that plugs into your obd port?

I've tried it on my 2007 s211 and it shows almost nothing!

Hoping to change cars in the near future so hopefully the next car will do a bit more

I have one, it has some useful features like trips and mileage covered, refueling times, reminders.
The new cars with builtin Mercedes Me have a load of other things for interacting with the vehicle

That's the wrong Mercedes me app, download the Mercedes me Adaptor App, and you can then connect to the adaptor in your OBD port.

I got mine activated over the phone by calling the MB help line number. It took 24 hours for the service to become active for my car.

I went to Mercedes to get mine activated, the helpline wouldn't help, probably as I was asking the wrong questions(they said it was a security issue)
I kept talking about Mercedes Connect Me, instead of he Mercedes Me Adapter

It was a bit of a pain to get it to work, but the dealer had to check paperwork and activate it. It still wouldn't work properly though and I spent ages on the phone to the telephone support. Worth persevering but don't expect big things, it doesn't do much!

Thanks for the response, The dealer activated mine now and after going through all the questions in the app several times, this is now working.

The latest app update added "xx days until next service", which is nice.

Getting one fitted on Wednesday. Will wait and see if it is more than a gimmick but at least it's free.

They are making it more useful over time.
The service interval added recently is nice.
Fave thing is the journey logging.
Definitely needs more functionality but it's a good start.
