How many came to UK?
Dont see many on the roads.

All the ones that I have seen for the C140 are unfortunately just shabby examples and not well looked after at all and not done any justice for the model.

Of course the W140 coupe was SEC from 92-93/94, S from 93/94-96, and CL from 96-99. Which only adds to the confusion when talking about numbers!

I believe the worldwide total for the coupe was just over 26,000. No idea what the UK figure was.

Great experience. Super cars. My strangest memory is of sitting in a CL V12 Bi-turbo chatting to a man who was visiting UK from Jersey. He was determined to buy it despite the 35 mph speed limit throughout the island.

Pretty sure the speed limit on Jersey is 40 rather than 35, but I know what you mean. Someone I knew who lived there bought an SL600.

Nope, 40 mph:

In Jersey, we drive on the left hand side. Take precautions as many of the roads are quite narrow and twist and turn between the fields and farms. The maximum speed limit throughout the entire Island is 40 mph/64 kms per hour.

It's only for W140/C140's I'm afraid
