Time for it to find pastures new!
Mercedes SL320 (V6) – 1999 (V plate).
Rare Amber Red (believed to be one of only a few in the UK).
6 Previous owners since new.
First registered on 29th September 1999.
I have owned this vehicle for over 3 years (bought in May 2010) and carried out a part restoration in that time
This UK car is HPI clear. I have the report from I carried out the checks at my purchase.
MOT until August 2014.
Tax until August 2013.
I am a member of several car clubs (including MBClub.co.uk and Mercedes Benz Owners club). I can only be described as a Petrolhead!
This is my second car, so it is not used extensively, whilst I drive two other cars, as my daily drivers.
Non smoker’s car (hence no smokers delete option exercised at factory).
Mileage (verified) is at 73,600 miles. It has averaged barely 5,500 miles per year. Will rise gently through mild use.
The car has been predominately garaged and parked in a secure private car park when at work, in my ownership.

EXTERIOR
This is a 14 year old, it would be no surprise that it has the odd mark and stone chips, consumerate with age. If you want concours, look elsewhere.
That said, I dabble in a bit of detailing and I have done my best to get this car is in excellent shape. See for yourself.
The folding roof had not been used by the previous owner for many years, choosing to leave the hard top on. As a result, the rear screens were cracked. I had these replaced in August 2010 by a recommended installer from the SL shop (Google them).
The paint was mottled on the rear, having been stood for 2 years. Both rear wings and cross beam have been re-sprayed in March this year.
INTERIOR
Again, taking into account age, the interior is in excellent condition.
All interior instrumentation, switch gear and ventilation operate correctly.
The drivers’ seat swab has been refurbished this year. The leather is nourished every 2 months.
All the Walnut wood/inlays are very good. I will polish these prior to changing hands to the new owner.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
V6 engine is solid and performs as it should. It is smooth and responsive.
The 5-speed automatic transmission is very smooth and has excellent kick down.
During my ownership, there was a slight oil leak from the crank seal. This has been replaced.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Upgraded Genuine 18” AMG III alloy wheels are not pristine but are still in very good.
Front alloys are 8.5J dressed in Continental Sport Contact 3 (245/40/18). Both with around 4mm tread left.
Rear alloys are 9.5J dressed in Pirelli P Zero Rossos (285/35/18). Both with around 4mm tread left.
Brakes work excellently and are fade free, with plenty of life left in them.
I also had a noisy front wheel bearing replaced in March this year.
HISTORY FILE
I have some receipts/invoices over its life, including several years of old MOTs, and a history sheet dating back to 2005.
All handbooks/manuals are present in the Mercedes wallet.
Service book is fully stamped. The next service is due in around 5K miles

At this last serviced that I had done, the oil and filter were replaced. Both air filters were replaced and a brake fluid change. Transmission fluid and coolant were checked and found to be not requiring any change.
All original (2) remote keys are present and working
The car is polished at least every 2 months.
I will detail it prior to sale as a course of thoroughness.
Any inspection would be welcome and encouraged.
