Hi I have a real problem with my sprinter semi auto , at first it would not engage gears and would not start ,and I was told it was the clutch , so I had a new clutch and dual mass flywheel fitted , that seemed to get it going on the key ok , but it is now running very rich and has no power , Mercedes have told me it is the fuel temp sender that its faulty error code P0180-004, I went to merc and they sold me a new sensor but its not where its supposed to be , I have checked the high pressure pump and the fuel rail area its not there , I have been to the parts at Mercedes and a guy that's been there for about 30 years told me it does not have one , the problem is they are going off the engine number on the docs and it might ( probably wont be the original engine as the vehicle is 2005 and probably had the motor swopped out at some time , the fuel temp is showing at -48deg , which is why its running rough !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can anybody give me an idea of where to start , ,thanks mike

Hi Mike,
Welcome to the forum. There are not so many Sprinter owners on here, so you might also wish to also visit Sprinter - Sprinter-Forum a dedicated Sprinter forum. Now there are many wise folk on here, who, might be able to help if they knew what engine you had in your van. Any chance of perhaps removing any engine covers and taking some photos of your engine, so someone can perhaps identify it or at least tell you where the engine ID is on the block.

Steve.
