Mercland.co.uk or Morgana Management the Breakers

Dear All,

Just wanted to post a thread to avoid future confusion.

Our company is of course Mercland Ltd and we own the name Mercland.com

In the past we have had lots of confusion over another company called Morgana Management who used to specialise in breaking Mercedes and selling parts. They had the domain name mercland.co.uk.

You can imagine how many calls we get from customers looking for them and they must have had the same problem with our customers.

Many a time ive had customers ramble on about wrong parts etc... only to realise they were talking to the wrong mercland!

Anyway, a few weeks back I got an email from the owner advising they were shutting up shop.
And due to all the confusion he thought it best to let us have the name.

Even though I offered the owner money, he wasnt interested and went through all the hoops to transfer the name over to us.

So in future www.mercland.co.uk will take you to us, Home - Mercland

I just hope I dont get a load of parts enquiries now or warranty problems for parts sold by Morgana!!

Anyway, they are still selling parts on ebay to clear stock, and probably will be for some time, so if you see any of their parts, feel free to support them as the owner is a nice bloke!

That's heartening to hear Jay, having had the boot on the other foot - wanting a domain which was moribund, but the owner wouldn't let go..

I've bought off him in the past (ebay) and was very happy with the service and price, plus the packaging was more than adequate. Shame he's shutting up shop.

There's no mention of the web address on his business card which he enclosed with my order, just the ebay shop (Morgana Management) his fax number and email addy.

Jay, the www.mercland.co.uk address doesn't display very clearly and there's an extra 'm' in the address when searched for on Google. ( Used cars for sale in Nuneaton, Warwickshire | Mercland )

Don't want you losing custom.

Looking at the date on the original post, it should have propagated by now.

I just get 'Safari can't find the server' when I click on the link in Jay's opening post .

Mercland.com works fine .
