Recently purchased a Mini 0806 Dashcam, which I installed using the free hardwire kit that came with the camera. The kit was specifically for this dashcam and I had wired it to the rear cigarette lighter socket, as this was the easiest way to hide all the cabling and use a switched live connection. It all worked fine, except when the engine turned off because of eco start kicking it, the camera would stop and then start when engine started again from eco start, but not always restart, therefore not reliable enough for continuous recording.
At first I thought Eco start was stopping power to the rear cigarette lighter socket, however after sticking a multimeter on this and testing when eco start kicked in, this was certainly not the case as the socket stayed live.
My suspicion was the hardware kit was a bit too sensitive to voltage fluctuation. Solution I used was to purchase a cheap Griffin USB cigarette lighter adapter and by using some custom cabling and soldering have managed to keep this flush (ie no need for a USB plug on the Griffin). The Griffin outputs 5.22v consistently, even when eco start kicks in. The dash cam now works as expected.
I've took a few photos which I can upload if anyone is interested.
