Ml 320 judder under acceleration

Hi please be gentle I am not sure of what I'm doing here but I have just bought my first mercedes it's an ml 320 2007 it has a problem the car starts and drives great bit if under harsh acceleration or use the kick down method the car judders and jumps and holds itself back that's the best way I can describe it there's no power if anybody can help with any info it would be appreciated thanks
