Hi Guys,

Trying to stop the passenger side mirror on my wifes ML moving downwards when it's put into reverse. Can't it be done??

Yes, it can be done.

Instructions are in the handbook but I can't remember offhand exactly how to do it. It is done by pressing buttons on the centre consul somehow or other.

just make sure that you select driver's side on the mirror control unit

Yes, selecting the Driver side adjustment selector disables it.

To permanently cancel the "reversing kerb view" setting, whilst the mirror is in the reversing position (e.g. select reverse with foot on brake) use the adjuster to set it to the normal view and then press "M" and then immediately press the 4-way adjuster on any of the four points. Reversing position is then the same as the ahead postion.

At least, that's how the E Class works.
