Hi peeps
I have a ml280 2006 plate, and have hooked up a icarsoft to diagnose and fault on non starting.
It came up with a bunch of codes historic and recent but the ones that stand out is the throttle valve switch (potentiometer).
So I took it off along with the air intake and found it full of carbon and gunk even the 3 holes to the manifold and breather where clogged. So I cleaned everything up and put it back deleted codes and fired up it started for seconds then turned off and went back to just turning over.
Will I need to actually replace this throttle valve as it must be electrical fault?
Also when I did remove the TPS the flap was open and as I moved it just springed back to the open position.
Any help will be great.
Thanks
Bill
