Hello

As an owner of an ML350, its nice to see that they can rack up the miles !!! and in police hands its probably had a hard 178K miles...

Mines just gone over 40K so pleanty of life it her yet, and with me only doing 6K a year......

and HOW basic is it...police spec must get rid of goodies.

I don't know if it will have had a hard life ....

It will have spent the majority of those 178k miles just cruising at 69.5 mph ... ;)

Maybe a few thousand of foot to the floor , but those ML's aren't really pursuit cars are they ?

I would expect police vehicles to be very well looked after , but there will be the inevitable holes in the dash etc ..

I was thinking hard life as in

Towing things including truck off the motorway
Many cold starts and floor it up to 69.5 mph :)
How many drivers...

Agree not a pursuit car but if the blue lights are on it should be able to stop most things. Mine seen 130 (was that kph...mmmmm) in Europe I should add :)

Don't think they pull things around with police cars any more do they ?

Wait for the recovery services , health and safety don't you know, doesn't matter if the road is closed for 8 hours .... ;)

Police seem to be pretty good with their cars , it's not in their interests to try to damage it , otherwise when it breaks, they are left by the side of the motorway with everyone laughing at them ....

By the time they have done all their checks before leaving , the car will have warmed up. About 100 yards from my house is Hampton Traffic Unit, that houses all the cars for motorway patrol around W and SW london , i walk past there pretty often and see the Plodd sitting in them warming them up before heading out ...

I'm just speculating though ....

They really do look bad in white is all I can say:crazy:

Actually this has just highlighted an eBay phenomena that I've always found curious.....

It's quite obvious this car is available at £6200. It's in the title and in the body of the text describing the vehicle.....

Why do people come on and bid £600 then never bid again?

I understand putting in a bid to mark it for later on your account.

What are they thinking? The the other ten million people who use eBay might miss it and they get it for song?

Something I've always found a curiosity.
