I am shopping for a 2002 ML55 rear shock absorber with spring. Having used my chassis number with suppliers, they tell me they do not have that number on their ML range of products but they've had no complaints from people that have bought the ordinary ML range of shocks from them.
I know the ML500 is similar in weight etc., as the ML55 but I need to know if there is a difference between ML55 and the rest of the ML range of rear shock absorbers. Can you help please.

Hello Chris,
There is a big difference in ML55 vs. ML500 and the rest of the models.
ML55 rear oem struts have a stiffer spring rate and shorter setup hence the lower ride height (by roughly 1-1.5")
oem rear struts for the ML55 are $$$, Have you tried the stealership?
