Hello All,
When I brought my approved used I was told by the salesman that because I have no spare if I get a puncture, and the tyre inflation kit won't remedy it by the roadside mobilo will come out and put a space saver on it, if it's out of hours.

I was going to buy a spare wheel kit for it as I work odd hours of the day when tyre companies are closed. I was told not to bother as they would get me out of trouble. Does anyone know if this is the case or would they just recover me back home, which wouldn't solve the problem as no jack or brace supplied. I do have my own tools so removing the wheel is no problem jacking it up might be as I have no jack.

I hit a pothole in the missus A Class when it was a week old and tore a hole in the tyre wall.

Mobilo came out and fitted a space saver and came to collect it from our home address about a week later.

Not sure if the service level is the same now it’s outsourced to RAC although they we’re excellent yesterday when part of my exhaust fell off!

Ah ok that's good to know.

I had a damaged tyre on my SL in the wilds of Scotland. No tyre available for 2 to 3 days. Mobilo recovered SL to MB Perth, I got a C220d delivered to the hotel I was staying at.

I drove the C back to London, Mobilo sent SL on trailer back to my flat London, and C was picked up from there.

Excellent service.

All that for a... tyre? Wow.

Yep, we all pay for that when we buy a Mercedes or a service from the dealer.

When I had a blow -out last year, RAC removed the wheel and left me at the side of the M6 for over two hours while they went into Carlisle to source a tyre. Not best pleased as it started to rain! My understanding when MB did the Mobilo, they fitted a wheel and got the car moving, sorting out the puncture later.

I’ve heard vastly different accounts of experiences, so maybe it just depends on the local service/person.

Driving the C all the way home and them changing the tyre and putting it on a flatbed from Scotland to London is almost too much! Must have cost them well over a grand... wait... more!
