I have a 2006 c200 w203 84k on the clock. I have had a problem with a rear tyre holding pressure. It would lose about 1lb per day. As both the rear tyres were worn out I replaced them with Michelin cross climate. To my surprise the offside tyre still loses pressure. The tyre was remounted by the company but it still leaks. Do alloy wheels become porous? Is this problem solveable? If so how? Any help gratefully received

Damaged beading surface, unnoticed hairline crack or leaking valve...but that should be replaced every tyre change. Porous wheels does happen but it's rare and usually accompanied by lots of bubbling and corrosion.

Most likely corrosion on the mating surface. A refurb of the wheel should fix it.

I had this problem. The fix was removing any crud from the rim beads and giving them a quick coat of bead sealer. Been good for two years now. I get little or no pressure loss between checks.

Thanks. Problem is that I am in the hands of the professionals, I can't remove the tyre to get to the bead etc
I could buy a used wheel and check the rim etc and then get the tyre changed over

Any decent tyre place should be able to sort it for you.
