Has anyone had any experience of these and if they would be any good for my e220 Coupe?

Or can anyone offer any other suggestions regarding lowering suspension please, as you all know my car is currently sitting a tad high, ta very much :)

the first step in your investigation is to establish what thickness rubber pads are on each spring.

One blip is the thin and four blips is the thickest, on the front.

Turn steering wheel so that front of wheel points outward and you will be able to see the number of blips dropping down from the rubber mount on top of the spring. You may need a torch.

For example if there is a 4 blip on at present, and you were to change to a 1 blip you would get a reduction in height of approx 1 inch very cheaply.

The pads cost something like £3 each.

Thanks, someone had mentioned this to me before, I might try and have a look in a minute, bit dark but I'll have a go!:D

kth286,

That's interesting info about the blips. £3 - where do you get them from and does this only apply to the front. Do the struts have to come off to change them?

Cheers, Sonny

You purchase them from your dealer. The struts stay on, however the springs need to be taken out. Can be done without a spring compressor, as some will tell you, BUT VERY STRONGLY advised to use a proper spring compressor. The risk of injury is too great not to use one. The rear cups are also available from your dealer.
