MOT Changes

Sadly, Barry with his eBay xenons will not be affected: "Headlamp levelling and cleaning devices when fitted for HID or LED headlamps" (my italics). If none are fitted, their absence is not a reason for failure.

And as for the Honda Civic, did it not fail on emissions? If it had passed, the genuineness (or not) of the 'fake' catalytic converter would probably not have been an issue. The cat is only there to enable a car to pass the emissions test.

As I found out when they failed my car for one of the headlamp washers not working and indicator bulbs not being yellow enough !

There is a document from the dft , i can never find it , that states that HID retrofits are illegal when not done in conjuction with levelling sensors and wash devices.

Just seems that no one fails them.
