Motorways

Agree those tolls are a pain; I have DartTag but even so, just getting to the pay point is bad enough, and I only travel through it generally off-peak and once a month say. I feel for those who use it daily during the rush

My lorry yard is just through the tunnel on the Essex side, but I live 20 miles away on the Kent side.
I must have shares in the crossing now, as I spend £300 per week on the Dart-Tags:crazy:

One lorry I have is £5.80 a time:eek:

Life is so tough isn't it?

I have to drive 92miles just to get to a motorway.:D

And if I drive the 301miles to the parents house, 122 miles are on the motorway. It means 2 hours just to get to a fast road, and 1.5hrs of further country roads.

People here keep telling me its quicker to stay on the M6 and do the M61 m62, m606 route on the basis that the motorways are quicker.

I let them think that!!!

When we head to southend, its M1 to M25 etc all the way.

Somebody once suggested the A1! Hmmmmmm. Maybe one day, when I am ready to die at the wheel I will give that a go.:)

You are far too young to die

Yes, so I may give the A1 a go in about another 150 years or so! When I am about 80!:D

Maths not my bestest subject. Ranks alongside Great English I thinks!

well its been 5 yrs and the roadworks are still going on, i went to manchester on tuesday and counted 2 people siting on a barrier thats why it takes forever they need to have a meeting then observe what they do and then watch one person actually do the work!
I hate the M1! but had my first real police camera action moment when i saw 6 police cars trying to stop a blue audi they had a helicopter and everything! i was there for over 3 hours the fault was an accident, preaty bad the roof was chooped off a the other car must have been removed, but the accident investigation team was there, so longer delays! and more roadworks to fix the barrier.
