looking to a set of 4 mud flaps on my 05 280cdi estate do you have any recommendations who is the best site to go to apart from Mercedes direct and if so what do they cost

The dealer ones you refer to are reasonably priced and will fit properly. i'd walk in the dealer and walk out with the flaps.

Do exactly what john says above. The original ones are the best. Roughly 70 quid for all 4 I reckon.
