My W204 C250 CDI 2010 is giving me multiple error messages (see pics).

Anyone got any ideas?

With the engine running the battery was showing 14.17V on the multimeter

have you tested it with the engine off? I know that a low battery can cause quite a few errors.

14.17 shows you have a good alternator.

I would make sure the battery is fully charged and then try and clear the codes.

+1 for low battery. The last photo posted by OP says 'Supply Voltage to circuit 30g is < 8.5V' would suggest there is a voltage problem. The easiest way to verify if the voltage is the culprit would be to re-run the tests with the engine running!

+1 for the battery, my old C270 on every journey in the last two or so months would throw up a ESP/BAS error, fitted a new battery and no more errors.

Would a battery showing a nominally good resting voltage trigger all these warnings if it dropped to 'below 8.5V' on cranking?

It may have same effct if you disconnect module form car when inginiton on. But fault should be able to cleared when voltage back up. UNLESS some module loosing its configuration (I have faced this once, IIRC ABS module lost car VIN in W211) while booting and voltage drops at bad time.

There is wide communication problem, and most of faults are current state, are all fuses cheked?

The car is now with my local auto electrician. I'll update this thread once I get the car back with details of the fix.

+ for bad battery, 8.5v at cranking denotes a bad battery or cell. Voltage should not drop below 10.5v at start.

Yes without doubt a reading of 8.5v when cranking means the battery has had it's days.

Battery.
They go doo-lally with low volts- as systems all see ‘a fault’.
2010 car, - if it’s original battery it’s done well- 5 yrs and they die. Terminal usually have year date stamped on.

Did you check battery voltage with engine stopped, not having run for an hour? Anything below 12.4 and it’s failing.

Dropping to 8.5v cranking definitely points to battery, - ECP do good battery discount codes.
Try code “SALE60” for 50% off.
Or at least you will get a baseline cost for what your sparky may want to charge you.

Grangemouth also get good recommendations on here and deliver the battery to you.

Looks like the issue is with the front fuse SAM unit. Found one on ebay, it has the same part number, just hoping its compatible and works!

ABS sensor?

Careful, as changing a SAM may require it being coded to the car with STAR/XENTRY....

Front SAM has been replaced. Fault codes cleared and so far so good. Everything's working with no fault codes so far. Gonna leave it overnight and hopefully all being good get the car back tomorrow.

ABS Sensor or battery my thoughts but am interested to see if it stays fixed with the front SAM replaced.

Had the car back now a couple of days. Everything working fine except the drivers electric seat adjustment. Just needs to be recoded in Star. Getting that done this week. Pretty happy as the front SAM only cost £60 off ebay plus £260 labour costs. Would have been £1000+ at MB dealer.
