Well the big day has arrived and I've now taken delivery of a MY2009 CLC230...

It's my first MB so we'll see how it compares with my previous 3-Series. Only driven a few miles in it today but already the 7-speed auto seems impressive.

Anyway, if anyone has any CLC-related questions, I'll be happy to try and answer them.

The CLC is such an improvement over the C Class Coupe.

Is it a V6 engine. It will sound lovely. Probably not quite as engaging as your 3 series (e46 or E90) but still nice to drive + plenty of comfort.

Thanks everyone! Yes, it's a V6 - sounds great and is very smooth...

I understand that they've also uprated the standard Audio 20 to play MP3s & WMA files and there's now an audio socket for MP3/iPod players in the glove box (operates via AUX - seems a bit quiet though). Also the telematics are Bluetooth enabled (at least with telephone pre-wiring option 386) so an adapter isn't required for hands free telephony...

BTW re. the light strip, I followed a CLC a couple of weeks ago and noticed that several of the LEDs in the strip weren't working. Might be worth checking occasionally.

This is one case where the facelift has worked well...not so sure about some of the other model line up though.
