Bargain with that mileage.

Hmm, Dad/We are looking for a CLK within that price range, but he'd prefer a diesel becuase of fuel economy, and says the engine will last longer (though he'll do no more than a few thousand miles in it).

A 500 V8 will go forever ... it's so unstressed , and lugging a light body like the CLK around will not worry it at all.

If you're looking for a diesel though , a 500 isn't for you.

Currently at my parents house not 1/4 mile from Alan Kerr's place and think I glanced this as I passed his site yesterday....possibly

Frightening thing is - AK is known as a very expensive dealer who makes money on cars (and motor homes, his main bread and butter these days)... so what did he buy this at to want under £10k for it??

Wife would kill me if I did drop in tomorrow and have a proper look.....not that I'm looking of course....

Though if you are doing only a small mileage, the fuel cost difference will be minimal, and the purchase price lower for petrol. Got to be worth it for that V8!

Yes, I was thinking that. The 500 seem much better value, the diesels seem to hold on to their value, and we're looking at the 320CDi, although to get one in our price range will mean a high-miler.

That's the reason i bought my 430 V8 , i did 4000 miles between MOT's ...

The cost of a tank of petrol vs. the smiles it puts on my face more than outweigh the differences.
