First off a BIG HELLO to all here, i'm a new Mercedes owner (ex BMW E34 525i SE)

Has anyone got a copy of "Mercedes 30 day exchange plan" or a general copy of the terms? i cant find anything written anywhere or downloadable.

Also i'm looking for any experiances in towing with a 06 C180K Avantgarde ie: Transmission cooling and general towing performance many thanks for you time.:bannana:

What are you towing, the box should be fine but depending what you want to tow weight wise it could have a hard time.

I intend to tow another caravan weight wise around the 900 kg mark long distances in europe ie:F1, Moto GP , World Superbikes!.

Max towing weight 1700kg Hmmmmmmmm
Would only bother me id i was near this max weight when towing up hill in a stop start line of traffic for long periods.
Otherwise should be no issue.

Hi and welcome.

900 kg caravan is pretty light, should be ok. Watch the weight in the car though as this all comes off your towing limit (which is based on the ability to do a hill start on a specified gradient).

You might also want to try a 'premium' fuel ... with my V6 Sharan there was a definite increase in torque when towing on Shell V-Power. You wouldn't notice in normal driving, but with the caravan on the back it actually made 6th gear useable!

The Vito is my caravan tug now; with the same bhp and more than double the torque it tows rather well

Yep weight wise shoudl be fine, thats light caravan

Our ML seems to tow quite nicely, hardly know its behind you.

Its also nice being able to see right through the unit being the same height
