Hi guys just thought I would drop a line to let you know of my newest buy, a 1983 500 Sel nicknamed "The Golden Eagle" by it's owner who has had the car for the last 20 years, originally buying it in Jersey.
Haven't collected it yet. I was in need of something interesting to use every day having just spent quite a bit on my other W126 280 SE. That car is now in show condition so didn't really want to use it every day through what may probably be another harsh winter. That car was nicknamed "The Silver Lady" by it's previous owner so I suppose they will go well together.
Anyhow should be collecting it this week so any advice etc would be much appreciated. I must admit I didnt look at half of what I should have done. Did look at the all important parcel shelf though and it was rust free.
It also has BBS alloys on which I haven't seen on many 126s. Are there rare/worth much money?
Cheers
Sean
