Hi All,

Just bought my 1st Merc today, pick it up Friday.

AMG GLA45 Premium in red:thumb:

Bit of car history: Last car RS6 before that 5 Nissan GTR'S

Hope the GLA45 comes somewhere close? Feels much more of a drivers car than the RS6 & has near the quality of the RS6 & the driving experience of the GTR with the dual clutch gearbox?

Welcome to the forum :) and congrats on the GLA45 AMG

Really? You've come from 5 GTRs and an RS6 (which shape?) to a GLA45? Wow!

I had an RS6, then an M5 Tourer, a C63 and then an A45. I'm back in a C63 because i really missed that power and the reliable feel of a big lump up front.

What was your thought process?

Welcome to the forum.

Having driven an A45 AMG, I was utterly disappointed.

I'd be surprised if your theory holds when comparing to an RS6 and GT-Rs... :dk:

I hope it does for you though!

Ignore them all Dave. You enjoy your new motor. Don't let them spoil your New car feeling.

I like the GLA45. Post a few pics when it lands.

GLA45 is a cracking car. Does everything very well. Maybe the OP has purchased it for the family and not himself? After the cars he's owned, that's the only reason I could see logic behind his decision.

Welcome and enjoy the car!

I love my CLA45, the power is more than enough for UK roads!

Post some photos!

Enjoy the car. I think they look really nice: good shape, clear lines and wolf in sheep's clothing road presence.
As for fast enough for UK roads - define 'enough' ;-)

Perhaps the power is more than enough for me would suit best!
