C63S Coupe
Hi everyone,

Just joined the forum and said hello in the newcomers section.

I pick up a new C63S Coupe at the weekend, I've been toying with the idea for a few years and given the new C-Class has been launched with rumours of a 4-pot hybrid coming it was a now or never decision to get one of the last V8's.

Although I've been glancing at C63's in general for a few years and read reviews, watched hours of YouTube footage it's always owners that have the most insight so I'll no doubt be asking lots of questions.

I guess firstly, is there anything I should know straight off the bat, what I should do or look to do?

I believe I've got to do 1000 miles in comfort mode and then there's a diff oil change at 2000 miles, is this correct? I assume this is FOC, I'm buying from a dealer 100 miles away and will be serviced locally (I assume it's FOC any MB dealer will honour that).

Anything else?

Thanks

Welcome aboard. There should be a sticker on the drivers side of the windscreen that explains what you need to do in terms of 'running in' (not that its even a thing these days!), otherwise it'll be in your manual.

Other than that, to coin a phrase:

"If in doubt, flat out"

:)

Welcome, lovely motor your getting. :) 👍

I thought they gave up the diff oil change a while back.

Enjoy the car.

Sounds great, you need to put pics up when you get it :)

I was told the early diff service was no longer required by both the dealership and MB (this conflicted against the general consensus on the web, the handbook and the window sticker). In terms of things to check, maybe take someone with you less excited/attached to look round and check for you (I get too distracted). On my current car, I had damage to some plastic sill trim that I wouldn't have spotted at the time, and I've had other new cars (not MB this time round) with damage or the wrong number plates fitted.
