New car

Looks like a lovely machine and the V6 definitely gets my vote over the four pot motors. Although when I had a W212 E250 as a courtesy car, I thought the newer four cylinder engine was a lot better than the W211 E220. Hopefully the V6 will also have been given similar improvements in refinement.

Very impressed so far with the v6 350cdi(you can hardly tell it's a diesel even when cold & on tickover).

Been out all day today & some of which on some twisty B roads, cls definately felt more planted in the same situation(maybe the airmatic over the agility control sports suspension?)but on the open road(dual carriageway/motorway)the E is a fantastic cruiser/mile muncher & the sport seats are more comfy than the cls........

Are you sure that's a fair comparison, cold weather, damp and possibly snowy icey will yield lower grip conditions.

Give it time. My feelings of a 212 was its steering was too light but it was very capable. So is a CLS mind you

In fairness mild, mainly dry(if a little damp)no ice/snow here(darn sarf!),as you say the steering is definately lighter on the w212.
