I am planing on buying a E430 Im down to 2 a, 1997 with 80 000miles but the body has spots of rust but it has an AMG bodykit and its service history is missing... ?

the second is a 1998 with a full service history and one owner, this looks the better of the 2

Does the 1998 engine have 16 spark plugs ?
whats the difference with running costs between the 1998 1997 engines ??

As far as I know the they both use the 113.940 engine,,even after the 1999 06 face lift
