I've been on the Forum in the past when I owned a very nice first generation CLK320, lovely car. This purchase had followed the 190 with 2.6 litre petrol engine, another lovely car.
My Merc ride these days is very different, a second series C-Class (W203) Classic Estate with the 2-litre diesel engine, a four-pot banger that frankly gasps going up hills, ouch. However, it does return very respectable mpg figures, which was one of the reasons for buying the car. The CLK320, while not being a V8 muncher, was a very comfortable car to drive and could eat up the miles with joy, except when the AC packed up in mid-summer. So, driving habits have become far more sedate and sedentary.
I have posted a couple of questions in the engine section should anyone have some suggestions.
A couple pics of the 2-litre diesel beast, hardly!
