Hey all. New member joined today- mercedes virgin up till last month, then bought a ml500 on an ‘06 plate. Will be begging advice, but hope i can also offer some, as between me and the previous owner we have done a fair few jobs on her. ICarsoft scanner in use. Know its no star/xentry but its pretty good for most things. My car also has a BRC lpg system on it but to be honest they lock their software down nearly as hard as MB so not played with that. Anyway, thanks in advance to anyone who helps me. Intend keepin it and maintaining it for a long time so i be here a while

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum, but not new to MBs. I picked up a 2004 G500 with 106k miles yesterday. when I started driving it a bit more,
I hear a weird buzzing/ humming noise coming from behind the rear-view mirror.

here are some characteristics.

-Sound starts at 45MPH, speeds any lower than 45mph and you won't hear it.
-It is not affected by engine speed, changing gears or shifting into neutral does not change the sound/volume/tone.
-Once you hit 45mph it increases in volume and remains constant.
-If I rev the motor in park, there is no noise.
