350cdi Sport Plus
I missed my window for the C Class Sport as well as not getting the price I need for my Audi (at least not yet :D) but I gather the Sport is being downgraded in spec and is instead being replaced by the Sport Plus. As far as I know, the wheels are different, similar to the black alloys on the B Sport and the interior seat coverings are different, cloth and Suede. Does anyone know anything else. Oh and the price is going up a small amount.

Ah ha, I now know :) Mostly a little bit of cosmetics.

Well me and my lonely thread will soon be proper Merc owners. Ordered one today (Sports Plus)

After reading your post I've been trying to find out what the difference is with the Plus model. I really didn't want to find out that I'd missed out on some useful goodies after only having my C350 Sport for just over a month. Apart from some red stiching and a wheel style that I wouldn't want, all I can see is that there's some small communication extras on Comand that wouldn't be of any use to me. So phew, I'm still more than happy.

Hope you don't have to wait to long for yours. You'll be delighted to be out of your Audi and suffering all the Top Gear viewers laughing at you! The looks you'll get with your new Merc will all be envious - not that you'll see too many of the faces as they rapidly disappear into the distance behind you! :)

That may not be the case when it snows :D Actually the Audi is almost as quick in a straight line and probably faster cross country, but I am hoping the Merc will be more fun :)

Where did you find out a list of the differences from?

As far as I know the differences are:

New wheel design
Teeny weeny boot spoiler
Red stitching everywhere :(
Red Seatbelt option!!!-Arghhh
Red piping on floor mats
Slightly different seat design
66 litre tank
1/3 2/3 folding seats now standard

Oh and the telematics now look silver and are slightly enhanced for media stuff. Not sure if it supports the latest Bluetooth data tethering like iphones and many Android phones have (the app BlueDun apparently sorts this for Android)

and the price has gone up about £60, although it is actually cheaper if you take into account the folding seats.

Here is a linky to see the interior of the Coupe, which gives you an idea about the interior

I should add I don't think the seats in the saloon are the same shape as the ones in the coupe :(

66 liters tank and folding rear seats were already standard on the coupe. They only two things really are the boot spoiler and wheels. Realistically, the spoiler is the only item which is worth mentioning as the rest are not really an improvement, just a different colour in my opinion.

Amg handling package, which can only be specified with the sport plus with either 250 CGI or cdi adds, black mirrors, black grille and sport badges plus the technical improvements of larger brakes, amg suspension, sports exhaust with quicker gear changes and engine remap for better acceleration response are the main advantages of specifying the plus package in my opinion.

Are those standard with the sport plus or still options on top of the sports plus trim?

Yes, but this thread is meant to be about the Saloon. i just showed the Coupe picture link to show how awful I thought the stitching looked and to give an idea what the wheels looked like

They are options included with the amg handling package but not standard on the sport plus, in my opinion for the additional cost of the amg handling package well worth the money.

That's the only thing on the Sports Plus that I'm a bit miffed about. £208.33 +VAT for the split folding rear was a bit steep on mine, but I did negotiate quite a good discount (£4214) on the complete car that I may or may not be able to get now. Also, if I'd waited for the very best deal/option I'd probably not be enjoying the car already!

Well the good news is that my car is at the dealers, the bad news is I can't pick it up for a fortnight :( Still haven't seen what a Sport Plus looks like :(

hi is it just on coupe or is the sport plus is in saloon aswell

Did I read somewhere that you're too busy at work to collect it for now, or is it being held by the dealer for some reason? You'll love it anyway.
