Is this new style command available in the UK? It has the square buttons that fit in with the facelift interior.

Anyone do supply this for retrofit?

What are you thinking of retro-fitting it to?

New 200k Coupe - I was considering the Command but I noticed most have the round buttons that just wouldn't look right in the new console - until I saw this!

Euro Comand

Is this the famed Euro Comand?
The US Version doesn't have the DVD Facility, which I see in the photo of the flipped down screen it shows a CD and DVD port. (The US Version has a static screen)
I have seen on other forums that they are available, and someone is offering the Euro Version for sale over here in the US, to provide the DVD facility.
This is the first time I have ever seen one "in the flesh" however, if that is what it is.
I would be interested to hear if this is available, and easily interchangeable in an '04 W211 E55 with Nav. That would definitely be the way to go with screens in the headrests.

The Euro Command for the W211 is different, and is very similar to the US spec command, except for the extra video button.

This command is specific to the revised W203.

W211 Euro Comand

Thanks for your response Richard,
Do you know if the W211 Euro COMAND is a direct changeout for the US Comand, or is there additional wiring/fettling required?

One thing to bear in mind with these facelift comands is that unlike the previous incarnations, this time around each vehicle has its own comand. C class will not fit into a Clk & Vice versa - The front panels are different sizes. The back end seems to be the same for both though. Why not try someone like Braybrooks?

E W211 Comand retrofits are notoriously complicated - Steve K has done a few and is the best qualified to advise on USA/Europe compatability
