New to Mercedes, is this a wise buy?

Mercedes Benz S212 E350 Sport Cdi
Looked at a MERCEDES-BENZ C CLASS 2.1 C200 CDI BLUEEFFICIENCY EXECUTIVE SE 5D on a 60 plate.
The seller has made it clear he'll accept £7000 for a quick sale because of the mileage, 124,000 miles.
It's an amazingly clean car, runs and drives as new with no faults that I can find.
I've always wanted to move to a Mercedes estate and this ticks all the boxes except the mileage which my head tells me to stay away from but my heart says it's a steal.
I need some pearls of wisdom from you guys as seasoned MB Owners.
Should I jump? Anything I should be looking art with this mileage on it?

If it's got service history to go with it is go for it... If not then if it all drives fine I'd probably still go for it! I have 250k miles on my AMG and 150k miles on my s320 Cdi so mileage doesn't bother me!

You must have an element of being a risk taker being a RR owner (I've owned a few) so this would be small fry really!

Mercedes do cover big miles well, so as long as it's as clean as you says and there's a good service history I wouldn't hesitate.

OM 651 ENGINE or OM646? The OM651 timing chain is at the rear of the engine so any wear problems there means an engine out job. With the 200 single turbo engine+ solenoid injectors engine the car should not be affected by the piezo injector issue- check under the engine cover for fuel return pipes from the injectors and for any sign of injector leakage to be sure.

Just looked at it, full MB main dealer history, last serviced 6000 miles back.
Dealer took engine cover off, no leaks, clean as anything.
Looked under engine before starting, no leaks of any fluid.
Engine started from cold on the button with no smoke or hesitation.
Pulls well, I'm sure I'll get used to the hand brake eventually!
One thing, there's a dead spider behind the instrument bezel.
How can I get that out?
Dealer is putting a fresh mot on it (due November) and I've got a further £300 off.
Needless to say I bought it. Pick up next Saturday

By the way, many thanks for your input guys.
I'll be hanging around here learning as I go.
Is there anywhere to get the full spec list for this model of car, MB only seen to list the latest models

Many thanks grober, I'll do that when I pick it up.

Regarding the wincy, you'll need a very long torx screwdriver and that's it tool wise.

The black plastic trim which goes all the way around the instrument cluster just clips into place. If you get your fingers underneath (use a card or something to help initially) and tease it away all around the edges you'll pop it off in about a minute.

Then you'll see 4 torx screws one in each corner. With these undone, the binnacle will just lift out. The connector can be unclipped (there's a little lever on the plug), then it's a bit fiddly to lift it totally out, but get the steering wheel out of the way and it'll come out.

The unit itself clips together all around the edges, so you can just unclip the big rear shell to separate the two halves. The circuitry, complete with dials etc will all stay together, so you can get the clear front to remove the spide.
