Hello, having reached the grand age of 50 this year, I decided to treat myself to my first ever mercedes, a CLK320 Elegance from 1999 (facelift model). I have to to say that it is in lovely condition, a credit to its previous single owner. It has full service history from new (all at Mercedes), and very little sign of rust (a couple of tiny spots around the base of each wheel arch). I have made a couple of trips to Bournemouth from London so far, and have been astonished to return 36.1mpg according to the computer display. What a bonus! The car is silver with grey leather interior, immaculate inside.
This forum caught my eye, and seems like a source of great help to all. I am sure that I will find it benefits me hugely.
I will post a couple of opening questions in the relevant sections, and look forward to answers soon. In summary, I can't get MW reception on a new after-market stereo, and I have a question about the driver's electric seat (does it slide forward for easy rear entry?).
In response to TricyTrevs earlier intro, my wife is 34 . Does that put me ahead of you?
