Hi,

I have tried searching the forum but cannot find a definitative answer so sorry if this has been asked before...

I have a 2008 CLS with the command sat nav unit and an iPod kit installed. It also has the MB bluetooth adapter installed but that only works for phone calls.

I unfortunately do not have an old ipod (android fan) and was looking for a way to stream music over bluetooth.

So I guess my questions are:
  1. I have seen mention of a Bovee 1000 adapter that can just plug on the end of the ipod connector and will allow me to stream, does anyone have this working with an Andoid phone?
  2. The aux in my glovebox doesnt work (presumably because of the ipod kit) but I cannot seem to locate the Media Interface. I have looked in the glovebox and armrest but found nothing. Do I need to remove some trim somewhere to find it? If so where would I look?
  3. Are the aftermarket Android headunits worth considering?

Hope you guys can help, its driving me mad having to listen to CDs instead of Spotify :)

Cheers

Apparently it works with specific and legacy handsets. Problem with aftermarket is that you lose access to vehicle settings. Adapter is the cheapest option. I do have a personal project in mind that involves reverse engineering the bt module and replacing it with nfc wireless charging and bt 5.0 but don't hold your breath [emoji12]
