You would have to use a VIN decoder to check it.
some cars are ‘AMG line’ which is a standard car with some bits of AMG trim (wheels/spoiler/etc)
full AMG is a revised engine (more power) bigger brakes, suspension mods, plus body differences.
there are people on the site who may run the VIN for you to give you a full rundown on your car/options fitted.
OK thanks for that I may contact my local MB dealer with VIN, I just thought there would of been another way in looking at car to identify it as a AMG

Mercedes never made a C220 AMG so rest easy, you don't own one whatever you are told.
As above, certain models may have some AMG extras like wheels, mats or body kit, but they are AMG Line, not true AMG's..
There was one diesel AMG, a C30 and since then the following petrol models
C32,C55,C63.

The fact it's a C220 gives it away as a rule - AMG cars generally only have a two number designation - C43, C63, SL55, etc. As said a 'proper' AMG car is all about the engine. You may have AMG components such as wheels, suspension, body kit, etc which often leads to an AMG badge being put on the car but that doesn't make it an AMG car.
Also AMG only made one diesel engine, the C30 CDI AMG I think it was, many moons ago.
