Anyone had this happen to them??

We went out in the GLS in the snow earlier which got quite heavy when falling. Indeed, we drove through a blizzard.

We lost the radar / blind spot facility due to ‘dirty sensor’ which was not unexpected, however, we also lost the indicators function until, it appeared, I cleaned the front forward facing camera when stopped and engine switched off.

Once it was cleaned, function returned, or at least I guess so as it was working fine when i then restarted the engine. Strange indeed.

Anyone experienced this before or am I barking mad!!!???

Jim

Indicators should not be affected. Never heard anyone else have this issue.

I was out in the snow yesterday too, got the radar warning due to dirty sensor, but not the blind spot. The radar warning is usual for heavy snow but never ever seen the blind spot or indicators not working.

Are you sure your not driving a BMW, cos anytime I'm behind one, it's indicators never seem to work

LOL. Nope and not Volvo either!!IMG_2102.jpeg

My Distronic Plus sometimes stops working in heavy rain/snow (which is mentioned in the owners manual). Blind spot assist also stops working (as it's all part of the same system I think), but I don't know if the indicators were affected as everything starts working again when the rain/snow reduces or stops.

That’s what I found Inc indicators.

Soon as I stopped, switched off engine (maybe a clue there??) and cleaned the sensors and cameras I knew off, it worked fine when I started up again.
