Can I have yout thoughts on this please.

2006 220cdi Sport

After a run I stopped my car and it would not restart. No clicks Or noises. All dash lights working. Eventually found a 20 amp fuse that is listed as starter circuit had blown. With this changed it started.
then a few days later I stopped at services for a coffee. Same thing it refused to start. The fuse had blown but with it changed it still would not start and it wasn’t blowing it again. Being very stuck I looked in my Haynes Manual and found the starter relay. I removed its cover and moved the contacts with a screwdriver and it started. That was 4 days ago and since then it’s been ok.
I have a plug in usb hub that says the battery is running about 13.4

Any ideas or pointers

Thanks

I’ve had a similar problem with my mother’s Citroen C4. The auto electrician said the starter motor was drawing too much current hence the fuse blowing, cue a new starter. Ironically he said he’d had a few like that lately

Hello
Thanks for the reply.
I am pretty sure these fuses and relays only control the power to the starter solenoid.
I would think the flow To the starter is 200 or 300 amps.
Thanks Ken
