No throttle response

The throttle on the wifes A190 A class is not responding, car starts and ticks over fine, but will not respond to the accelorater ie, rev up as it should, absolutlely nothing. Any ideas before i get it checked out.

Just a long shot,

Try leaving just the ignition on for a minute or two before starting the engine........if no success, try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes or so, doing that might reset whatever is causing the problem. (make sure you have your radio code, if applicable)

Could be the throttle position sensor but usually you will get poor throttle response first rather than just a dead throttle.

It needs to go on a Star to see what is going on. The likey culprit is the throttle flap.
