No throttle response

Any ideas please ..... (2007 CL63 AMG) Car drives brilliantly most of the time. When cold no issues at all.
Particularly in hot weather and when car is up to normal operating temperature when you come to a COMPLETE stop at lights or junction and go to move off there is no response from the throttle (car just idles) but will roll forward (as auto's do) Can be very dangerous as you can imagine.
I have tried the following when it happens:-
Putting in and out of gear
Switching car off and on
Pumping peddle (in N and D)
Harsh language etc!
Have reset throttle 'memory' but it still does it.
This is an intermittent fault that has got considerably worse recently but may be as a result of the hot weather.
If I am able to roll the car back or forwards some distance (under idle) the car will flash and beep the warning triangle then come back to life and drive normally?
My own feelings would suggest nothing to do with throttle but another sender / sensor that feeds info to it?
Any thoughts greatly appreciated .... Thank you

TPS (Throttle position sensor) possible- needs a Star diagnostic to check it out

Ok thanks ... have booked an independent Merc specialist with the latest diagnostic equipment to look at car on Wednesday..... he seems to think that because it flashes the warning triangle before it works it may leave something in the memory for us to work with.

Thanks also .... my initial thoughts were because the car works normally some of the time it wasn't the TPS but willing to try anything .... will start with the MAF and a Merc specialist with the diagnostic equipment to find if a fault has been logged in the memory?

For info and just to let you know outcome .... Merc specialist did the routine due 'c' service then plugged into car and found wheel sensors (particularly o/s/f had flagged up 196 times!!! He took car for drive while still plugged in and confirmed they were all working so he removed each one cleaned up (major attention given to the muti plugs wd40 etc and the main plug where it plugs into the 'brain') Just been to Cornwall and back and went like clockwork .... fingures still crossed the fault has been cured.
Thank you for input
Sorry forgot to mention Merc guy said that if car can't tell what wheels are doing spinning/locked up etc etc (wheel sensors) it shuts down the throttle as a precaution (makes sense I guess!)
