When your mirror closes after locking the car and opens after unlocking if you get a continued motor noise like a fax machine running for a few seconds then you need to fit a FLOW MONITER/ASP BLOCK POWER SWITCH ( part number A 000 827 01 10 ) . Cost about £25 Its easy to fit and takes about ten minutes.

2.unplug the two wired connector at the top in number 1 position on the box fixed to door.
3. slide the black plug sideways out of the white sleeve.
4. gently prise out the two wires/pins marked at position 4 and 5
5. plug these two pins into the small black male adaptor that comes with the new part, wire from old position 4 goes into new pin hole 2 and from old position 5 into new pin hole 1.
6 plug this new male adaptor into the female on the flow monitor attached by yellow and white wires. your effectively attaching the pin that was in number 5 position to the yellow wire and the 4 to the white wire.
7 At the other end of the flow monitor are blue/white wire and a blue wire with pins fixed. put the blue/white pin into position 5 of the original black plug and the blue into position 4.
