Not Ebay, not MB, but I love the ad...

Joking aside that's a lot of car for the cash..........

Maybe it's just me but that is one ugly looking car

Yeah it’s certainly far from pretty..

I do think they look like an uglier, blown up version of the 996….. That being said though, 2k doesn’t seem all bad??

2k is good but I dread to think what road tax, insurance and running costs would add up to each year!

Road tax is only £415, but average fuel consumption is 19 mpg. Porsche parts are ludicrously expensive, so if anything did go wqrong, it wouldn't be cheap to fix. I had a chat with the seller, and he told me that it may need a new fuel pump; there are two, and one was replaced last year at a cost of £900. He states it drives fine, but if left idling it cuts out after a few minutes, and he suspects the other fuel pump may be the cause.

I thought about it, but on second thoughts, I've decided against; if nothing gets worse it could be a bargain, but I don't really have a use for it, and if anything else did go wrong it could be a money pit.

Wise decision, I think it would be an impulse buy and then, when reality set in, it would be regretted

I remember my ex on first seeing one saying it looked like a car had crashed on top of another, which I thought was a good analogy. The advent of the Panamera finally convinced me that Porsche had lost the plot with their styling.

It could turn out to be an old nail, or it could go on for ages without needing much; there's no way of knowing. If I had a use for it, I'd maybe take the chance, but I haven't.

It's not that bad; from the side it looks rather like a Lexus RX of that vintage, and I'd decribe the styling of both as nondescript, or inoffensive, rather than ugly.
