After spotting the 3rd or 4th Ferrari yesterday I figured it was not just chance and something was most likely going on. Got home having counted 13 in total so I looked on the web to find the Ferrari owners club had had there spring meeting just up the road at Waddesdon Manor.

Later in the evening I am dining at my local pub when a crowd come in, the men in fine red shirts with a certain horse logo.

Seems the Ferrari owners club like to indulge in a day of a car meet and an evening of good food and drink too!

lol - pity we didn't know - we could have set up a - shall we say - complimentary meet

You on the prowl Pammy?

On the way to the last Annual Pilgrimage there was a Bentley meet in a carpark in Torquay. I was tempted to stop since I've always liked old Bentleys but I was already late and pushed for time.
Also, I was in Jersey once and a pub carpark was full of English registered Porsches. Now that's a get together.

I've always thought it would be a great ideal to have a meet in southern Spain or Portugal. Their motorways are smooth and normally empty.

Northern France would be good too. Easy ferry Dover to Calais only takes hour and a quarter, or the Tunnel, and the food and wine are better and hotels and Chateaus are incredibly cheap. Last summer we had a four course lunch in Burgundy for 11 Euros and that included an excellent local wine. Hotels about £40 per double room per night are not hard to find. And the space and the sheer joy of driving like it once was here. Loved it.

I'd be up for that - be lovely to take Edna to France:D

Last time I looked P&O and Sea France both do ferry plus hotel or chateau for a night or two deals. Could be fun if a few made the trip. Is Eeyore keen?

Depends if I can protect him from Grav888 and Kikkthecat:crazy:

the porsche gtg's are something else. Ive read the porsche owners club mag a few months back and the planning that must be involved is staggering.

However , i remember the cost in going being significant too.
