NTG update

Can anyone tell me if there is an update for my NTG5.1 as I'm trying to get android auto on it. I have used a Summor NTG5S1 for Apple/Android OBD2 Auto Activation Tool NTG5 S1 CarPlay Protocol Communication for Mercedes-Benz. I now have the icons for Android and Apple car play but they do nothing. I've been reading there may be a possible update for the NTG? I've ask Mercedes and they want to plug it in for £175 just to tell me if there's an update or not.

I *think* that on the NTG5*1 this also involves a hardware upgrade (replacing the USB port), but I am not 100% sure.

Thanks for the info. Do you think that why there is no response. Another thing is that when I go into engineer mode I can't see anything about andriod auto. This leads me to think that the firmware isn't correct maybe just guessing.

The way to do this is properly and not via an OBD activation tool that may or may not (usually not) work.

For £199 Comand Online will do the firmware update for you. However if you want Apple CarPlay / Android Auto then there is an additional charge.
